Curriculum Vitae / Resume
“Enterprise Architect & AI Practitioner | Turning Complexity into Achievable Transformation”
I turn enterprise complexity into achievable transformation. 20+ years. 500+ programs and projects. Fortune 100 portfolios across insurance, healthcare, financial services, and industrial enterprises.
My career has been defined by one consistent ability: walking into the most complex, high-stakes technology environments and finding a clear, honest, pragmatic path forward. I'm technology agnostic by philosophy and multi-domain by experience.
Whether I'm navigating bleeding-edge AI strategy, untangling a monolithic critical system, or architecting a $3.3B acquisition, my approach is the same — rigorous analysis, zero wishful thinking, and a roadmap that can actually be executed. Leaders and engineers alike have told me I have a rare ability to make the most intricate architectures understandable and actionable. I'll take that as the highest compliment.
Today I'm embedded at Lincoln Financial Group as an Enterprise Architect Advisor to the Chief Architect — operating across a portfolio of 1,200+ vendors, 2,000+ systems, and multiple petabytes of data. I'm also an AI practitioner in the truest sense, personally leveraging Claude, Gemini Pro, CoPilot 365, OpenAI, Perplexity, Cursor, NotebookLM, MidJourney, and Dataiku as part of how I work every day.
Outside the office, Savanna and I co-own MyersMiles — a motorsports and travel media company where I race the events we shoot. I'm also a student pilot halfway through my hours, chasing a lifelong dream and expanding MyersMiles into the air.
In 2025, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Esophageal Cancer. I'm still here — with sharper focus, deeper gratitude, and a stronger commitment to doing work that matters. If you need someone who can look your hardest technology challenge in the eye and chart a realistic path forward, let's connect.
Industry Experience (Months)
A transformative enterprise architect with experience in disruptive and innovative technologies as well as monolithic critical enterprise systems.
After several years in software and web development during the 2000s dotcom resurgence, I moved into IT architecture, where I helped deliver hundreds of solutions and platforms, fostered innovation, adopted emerging technologies, challenged disruption, digitally transformed and uplifted entire lines-of-business, and provided Enterprise and Solution Architecture expertise for Fortune 100 companies over a 10-year period.
I am quickly adaptive to new environments with a myriad of multi-domain technology experience. I can communicate with technical engineers as well as business leaders.
I have guided digital transformation through reliable, fast, and pragmatic architecture practices in insurance, healthcare, industrial services, and financial enterprises.
Some Primary Methodologies:
Pragmatic Architecture: Creative sampling of a variety of methodologies: TOGAF, SEI, ITIL, and eSDM; with Lean, Waterfall, and Scaled AGILE (SAFe) to ensure successful delivery with minimal risk. Agnostic-first architecture approaches with an emphasis on adaptability and pivoting.
Respect Before Bravery: Learn together with peers and business to achieve higher quality objectives, with faster-speed-to-market through architecture exercises, modeling, and roadmaps.
Design Thinking for All: Creative approaches to achieve market differentiation and higher quality for customers and members. Design and usability first.
